She Saw This For $229 At Ballard’s Designs And Decided To Make One A LOT Cheaper! | DIY Joy Projects and Crafts Ideas

She wanted this so bad and saw how much Ballard’s wanted for it. She just couldn’t see herself paying that and that’s when she decided to make one herself! What is that famous saying…”Necessity is the mother of invention”? Well she thought it was a necessity and got busy making one! I said to myself “you go girl!” She ended up paying approx. $25 to make this fabulous piece. How’s that for some savings?

I love the large aged looking wall clocks, and apparently so does she! After I saw this tutorial, I decided if she could make one, so could I! This is a great way to add a stunning shabby chic look to your decor. If you really want it to look original, you can use some barn wood, instead of the round cylinder she purchased at Home Depot and give it that wonderful distressed look. Many of these type of clocks have a white wash on them and that’s what I did to the one I made. I did use the Roman Numeral numbers because I wanted to give it that real old style look.

This wall clock is a stunning update to any space that needs a rustic addition. Add this to a space with shabby chic like decor to give it that neutral statement you have been looking for.

Wall clocks are a great addition to any decorating style and any size room. They add a classic element, but can be quirky and full of personality as well. Large clocks, like any larger wall art, make great decorative elements for small rooms, by adding a major focal point.

Watch this step by step tutorial and get busy making your large clock for much less than you would pay retail for!
