Since we live in an apartment, dressing up our summer patio is always a challenge. I am constantly on the lookout for unique and fun ideas that are not permanent fixtures on the house. The last few weeks have been cold and dreary here in West Virginia, so I have done lots of online shopping and window shopping to get the patio ready for summer. The first thing I was after was a cute set of solar lights. We don’t have an electrical outlet on the front side of the house, so a solar set is a must. There are so many options to choose from. Simple and classic to fun and funky. Which would you choose?

Seating, of course, is another main focus for the patio. Not only does it need to be functional and seat all 4 of us plus guests, it needs to look pretty too. On to the FUN part .. the decorating! I am the first to admit I need some serious help when it comes to decorating a room. The patio, on the other hand, I am all for it. Something about just relaxing outside with a good book or a cold drink and a few friends is simply perfect to me. Especially on a warm summer evening. Well, that is the start of my summer dreaming! Soon enough the weather will break and we will be able to head outside for a little Vitamin D! But until then, I will keep browsing and dreaming for warmer days while I sip warm coffee in my flannel PJ’s.
